COPENHAGEN
- DESTINATION BY DESIGN!
From its humble origins as a
fishing village to its heyday as the glittering capital of
the Danish Empire, today's Copenhagen is not just another
metropolis. The city with the landmark of "The Little Mermaid"
is considered to be one of the word's premier design capitals
and Scandinavia's pre-eminent city.
The city with the medieval streets and the good energy (coming
form its canals) has nice places for you to visit, offers
a great cuisine for you to taste, hosts the famous Christiania
experiment (peace, love "free" drugs!) and it is, perhaps,
the only place where you will see a demonstration with the
participation of many kids, supporting the innocence of Michael
Jackson.
In the heart of the city "beats" Tivoli, one of the biggest
European entertainment parks with many kids, pop corn, candyfloss,
and a Michelin star restaurant, called The Paul. All these,
plus the Black Diamond, a massive polygon-shaped cocoon of
black glass, could be of an inspiration to Lars Von Trier
in writing his new script. |
